Update on anti-social behaviour in and around Nessus Street

Alert message sent 22/07/2021 14:30:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Afternoon all,

We wanted to update you on some of the work we’ve been doing around anti-social behaviour in Nessus Street.

We’ve been speaking to residents in and around Nessus Street for a number of months now and fully understand the impact that anti-social behaviour can have on people’s lives, which is why we’ve been doing everything we can to address these issues for our residents.

These issues have been one of our priorities over the past few months and we’re pleased to report that we’ve seen a significant reduction in the number of incidents occurring in the area as a result.

We will continue working with our partners and our local residents as well as using targeted patrols and pursuing formal action through the criminal justice system to disrupt those involved and ensure a positive outcome for those that live in the area.

We would like to give special thanks to PC Hayden Alderson and Dave Clark from Portsmouth City Council’s Anti-Social Behaviour Unit for their commitment to reducing this problem for our residents.

Our work doesn’t end here of course and we would urge anyone who witnesses anti-social behaviour, wherever it occurs in the city, to continue to report these incidents to us on 101 or via our online reporting tool: https://orlo.uk/LcD2R

These reports will be taken seriously and we’ll do everything we can to address these issues when they occur.
