Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Message to all Coordinators in Cove and Southwood area

Dear Coordinator

Thank you for your work as coordinator over recent the times, this has been a busy for many of you during the recent year.

Your scheme and the Alert System
You will be aware that your scheme is administered via the ‘Alert’ https://www.neighbourhoodalert.co.uk/ system which you will all have access to.  Details of your scheme are held within this system and linked to ‘OurWatch’, https://www.ourwatch.org.uk/ this is designed to help all coordinators with information about how to run their schemes.  It also has a search facility so that anyone that wishes to join a scheme can just enter their post code to see if there is one for their road.  You should be able to access your scheme on Alert where the details are held, including a map, number of houses, your objectives for the scheme etc.  You should be able to update these yourself if need be.  (Let us know if you need help)

Your Members on Alert
You will see your members registered to your scheme on Alert.  These members will automatically receive the messages from the system, however the majority of schemes in the area have very few of their members registered so it will be necessary for you to pass on any information that may be relevant in other ways, for example by e-mail.

New Version of system
There will be a new, more’ user friendly’ version of the software being introduced fairly soon.  You should be receiving notifications about this direct in due course. You may be aware that RNWA (Rushmoor Neighbourhood Watch Association) are the administrators for all Rushmoor schemes.

Your Help needed please
It would be very helpful for us, before the new system is introduced if you will let us know a few things about your scheme by answering the questions below:
1. What is the status of your scheme?
          a. Active (in touch with members regularly)
          b. Semi-Active (in touch with members from time to time)
          c. ‘Sleeping’ (still a coordinator but not active at the moment)
          d. Not Active, left the area, lack of time etc.
          e. Passed role to someone else.
2. How do you keep in touch with members?
3. How many members do you have in total (we can already see those on Alert)
4. Do you have a Neighbourhood Watch sign or signs for you road, these can be purchased if needed.

Thank you for your help.

Best wishes
RNWA Information Officer
