Poaching on the River Test - Kimbridge

Alert message sent 27/03/2020 10:06:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Dear residents,

Please make sure you are abiding by the restrictions put in place by the government for the current lockdown. If you need clarification as to when you are able to leave your home, click this link: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus. Please note, persons not abiding by these will be dealt with accordingly.

We stopped a large group yesterday in the Kimbridge area who were not following these restrictions. They were also found to be involved with fish poaching on the River Test. This group are now being dealt with by Police and the Environment Agency respectively. If you have any information that could help in our investigation, please let us know by phoning 101 or online at www.hampshire.police.uk using reference number 44200111443.

If you see anyone/anything you think is suspicious, we want to know. This includes people you may suspect are breaking current Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. Phone us on 101 or online at www.hampshire.police.uk. ALWAYS phone 999 in an emergency.

A final reminder to make sure you are doing all YOU can to stop the spread of the virus. Only make essential journeys. Stay safe.
