Havant Police Cadets

Alert message sent 19/05/2017 19:17:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Yesterday we were teaching our Havant Police Cadets all about Hampshire Alert; how it works, the benefits of having it, and how other people can sign up to get crime updates etc straight to their email.

You may get them knocking on your door next week to see if you’re already signed up or if you’d like to.

One of our cadets has written a brief message about what they enjoy at cadets which we’ve copied below. If you know any young people aged 13 to 17 who feel they may benefit from joining, or would like to know more about the work and activities the cadets do and get involved, please take a look on our website or email volunteer.police.cadets@hampshire.pnn.police.uk

“My name is Hannah Wingham and I joined Police Cadets 2 years ago to gain experience in the field of policing. Police Cadets is a worthwhile experience if you are interested in a career in the police or even if you want to just broaden your horizons. My favourite part of Police Cadets would be the volunteering as it gives you that sense of achievement. Police Cadets makes you feel as though you are a part of the policing family when volunteering. It is a chance to gain more friends and have fun especially on camps where you get to know everyone and do activities which you never thought you would. Police Cadets is an opportunity I am glad I didn’t miss”.

Thanks,
Chris.
