Update on anti-social behaviour in and around Nessus Street

Alert message sent 30/04/2021 12:44:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Afternoon all,

We know some of our residents are concerned about ongoing anti-social behaviour issues in Nessus Street, Flying Bull Close, Haselgrave House and surrounding areas.

We’d like to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to tackle these problems affecting our communities.

• You may have already seen that we have had a section 35 dispersal order in place in the vicinity of Nessus Street, currently in place until later today, and have been stepping up patrols in the area.

• Residents can also come along to the beat surgery held by our Fratton, Baffins and Nelson Neighbourhood Policing Teams today between 3 and 4pm along Nessus Street. The team will be on hand to speak to you regarding anti-social behaviour in the area and address any concerns you may have.

• Our officers are also continuing their work with partner agencies in the city to ensure we’re working together on a long-term, joined-up solution.

• As part of our increased patrols in the area, we’ll also be speaking to residents in the community about how to report any incidents to us and what we will be doing to tackle these going forward. Do come and speak to one of our officers if you see them around.
