Dear Resident,
 
Hampshire Constabulary would like to bring to your attention that a property in Green Lane, Blackwater has fallen subject to a Dwelling Burglary.
 
This unfortunate incident took place in your local neighbourhood on Tuesday 5th May 2020 between 02:35 and 02:40hrs. The incident is currently being investigated by the Police and we would like to request your assistance.

Did you see anything out of the ordinary?
Do you have CCTV coverage of the nearby area or road?
If you can answer yes to the above or if you have any other information that may be used to further our enquiries, then please call 101. Leave what ever information you have, along with your contact details, under the RMS reference 44200158014 so that an officer can contact you if required.

On this occasion nothing has been stolen after the intruder was disturbed by the home owner.
 
The most common type of Burglary is to an insecure premises. Offenders will seek out insecure properties and gain access without causing damage. Please ensure you secure all doors and windows even when leaving you property for short periods of time and/or at night..
We have attached some crime prevention literature, if we can ask that you check the security of your home and vehicles in order to prevent yourself becoming a victim of this serious crime.
