Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Good afternoon,
It’s been a while since my last alert to you all, although you may have seen several that my Sergeant has sent out to the whole of Basingstoke.
This past month I have been out and about on my bike covering the parks and open spaces in South beat.  The weather has been lovely and I have enjoyed chatting to many of you as I pass by - at a socially appropriate distance of course.
There has been a reduction in crime over the past few weeks but an increase in calls reporting anti-social behaviour in the community.
If you want to report a possible breach of Coronavirus (Covid-19) measures the best way to do so is through our website.  This will help reduce the pressure on our emergency lines and resources.
However, you should continue to call 999 in an emergency where a crime is in progress or there is a threat to life.
