If you saw anything suspicious or have any information please call Hampshire Constabulary on 101, quoting reference number 44200010263. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Your call is valuable and the information that you supply may help us to reduce crime in your area.

I’d like to take this opportunity to offer you the below crime prevention advice to help keep your property safe and secure.
  • Ensure windows and doors are locked and secure. Remembering to double lock UPVC doors.
  • Ensure side gates / back gates are locked to prevent access to the rear of the property. Consider the use of padlocks on your gates. Also ensure the fencing surrounding your property is in good repair.
  • Keep all keys out of reach and sight from the letterbox.
  • Consider fitting security lighting and a burglar alarm.
  • Consider the use of CCTV or Wi-Fi enabled doorbell camera.
  • Consider the use of timer switches (available from most DIY / Supermarkets) to switch on lights, radios etc while you are away from the home to make it look & sound occupied.
  • Keep valuables out of view from ground floor windows. Avoid leaving Christmas presents under the tree.
  • Register your property for free on https://www.immobilise.com/
  • Store any high valued items in a properly secured safe or bank vault.

Have a look at our "Leaving your Home" checklist to assess how secure your home currently is and whether any additional measures can be taken -
