Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Community led priorities.

The results from the survey recently sent out regarding what matters you felt were important have been examined. Thank you to those who took the time to complete it. We received 757 replies to this and as a result, our community priorities for the next quarter for each beat in and around Basingstoke & Deane will be as follows –

Centre – violence and drugs.
East – theft from motor vehicles drugs.
West – theft from motor vehicles, burglary and drugs.
South – criminal damage, theft from motor vehicles and drugs.
North – criminal damage and drugs.

Rural East – theft from motor vehicles.
Rural South – burglary and criminal damage.
Rural West – criminal damage and theft from motor vehicles.

Plans are in place to continue tackling these issues, The drug related harm department within the neighbourhood team have advertised many of the successful drugs warrants, arrests, charges and prison sentences from their hard work and continue to disrupt and reduce crime in this area.
Just today we released a news item about the arrest of a male for theft from motor vehicles, we continue to investigate these.

We will continue to post updates on our Facebook page, twitter and Hampshire Alerts about what we are doing, witness appeals, identity requests as well as news and other items.

Don’t forget you can report many things online now taking the strain out of phone reporting by using this link.
