Officers tackling rural crime in Hart execute two warrants

Alert message sent 16/01/2019 16:13:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Officers in Hart investigating non-dwelling burglaries have executed two warrants today (Jan 16).

The warrants were carried out in Little Vigo and Stillwell Close, Yateley.

A number of items, which are believed to be stolen, were seized and investigations are continuing.

Officers from the Hart north neighbourhood team led the action, which is part of our ongoing Operation Rebate work, tackling rural crime.

This action today comes following two non-dwelling burglaries in Minley Road, Fleet and Cobbetts Lane, Blackwater, last night (January 15), during which several out-buildings and containers were targeted.

A short time later officers recovered a wood-chipper which had been stolen during these burglaries.

PC Helen Wentworth said: “We hope this action today reassures residents and businesses in the area that we are committed tackling rural crime.

“We would like to thank the community for their continued support during our ongoing Operation Rebate work and urge anyone who has concerns or information in relation to this to contact us on 101.”

Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
