House Burglary in Bedhampton Monday 4th December

Alert message sent 07/12/2017 14:53:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Hi,

We are appealing for witnesses and members of the public with dash-cams in their vehicles who may have been passing on Bedhampton Hill between the Rusty Cutter and Portsdown Hill roundabouts on Monday 04/12/2017 between 19:45 and 20:15.

There was a house burglary where the offender was disturbed by the occupant and made off on foot. They were chased by members of the public towards the Rusty Cutter.

As you can imagine, this burglary has upset the occupants, especially at this time of year. If you have any information, and especially if you were passing and have any CCTV footage of people running at the time, please contact us on 101 and quote 44170471741.

If you have been walking nearby and have located any property such as holdalls, jewellery or any other items strewn or hidden in bushes etc, please also call us.

I’d like to reassure residents that Bedhampton is a safe place to live and your police team are working hard to maintain this.

If you see anyone acting suspiciously, please call us on 101 – if you think a crime is being committed or has just been committed, call us on 999.

You can also take a look at our crime prevention advice on our website here: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/advice/protecting-your-home-and-belongings/burglary/

Thanks,

Chris.
