Fordingbridge Update |
||
|
We continue to encourage our communities to report any incidents of catapults being used to target animals in the Fordingbridge area. We are aware of reported occurrences of this nature earlier in the year and fully understand the distress and concern caused to our communities by such incidents. If you witness anything of this nature, please call us on 101 as soon as possible, so we are aware and can investigate and take action. You can also report to us online, via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, below. Report a crime | Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary While on the subject, we can bring you an update from the courts, following an investigation into an incident that occurred in the spring. Last Monday (7 September), a 13-year-old boy from Fordingbridge pleaded guilty to possession of an article capable of being used to commit a summary offence, under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981. It follows a report on Thursday 16 April of a catapult being used to fire at animals, including a bird, in the Fordingbridge area. The boy has been referred to the Youth Offending Team (YOT).
