E-Scooters and Electric Bicycles in Yateley

Good evening!

We’ve recently started to receive more and more reports of antisocial behaviour around Yateley Green particular in relation to E-scooters and illegally modified electric bicycles.

This evening we’ve therefore spent some time targeting this issue, and to be honest we were intending to go out, give some warnings, have a chat with riders and educate people.

This took a bit of a change when a group of young males decided to make off from us, and try and play a game of cat and mouse as we continued patrolling around Hall Lane, beeping their horn, pulling wheelies in the road, and being a danger to other road users.

If you’re willing to accept feedback and understand the law, we’re willing to let you off with a warning. But as the old saying goes, play stupid games and win stupid prizes. When the Police tell you to stop, you stop. If you don’t, and you happen to run out of battery, well…expect us to seize the scooter.

We’ll continue doing this as our community are telling us that this is a priority to them and will dedicate more of our time to targeting antisocial behaviour in hotspots like Yateley Green.
