Man, 31, charged in connection with Poppy Appeal collection tin theft in Ringwood

A 31-year-old man from Southampton has been charged in connection with the theft of a Poppy Appeal collection tin containing £200.

Sean Johnathon Cooper, of no fixed abode, has been charged with theft and non-dwelling burglary with intent to steal.

The charges follow the theft of a collection tin from Greyfriars Community Centre, Christchurch Road, Ringwood on Sunday 2 November and a burglary at a business premises on Meeting House Lane, Ringwood on Monday (10 November).

Cooper is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday 12 November).
