Three arrested as part of rural crime investigation

Three men were arrested after officers were called to a suspected poaching incident near Upton Grey.

We were called at 9.27pm on Monday 27 October to a report of suspicious activity to the south of the village.

Officers attended and stopped a vehicle. Three people inside were detained while a search took place.

Catapults and ball bearings were seized, as well as the vehicle.

A 30-year-old man and a 39-year-old man, both from Yateley, and a 34-year-old man from Staines, Berkshire, were arrested on suspicion of having an article with intent to destroy/damage property.

The men are currently in police custody while our enquiries continue.
