Three people arrested following vehicle stop and search in Totton

Following a vehicle stop in Totton in the early hours of this morning (Friday 3 October), three people have been arrested and items seized.

Officers from our Roads Policing Unit stopped the vehicle on the A35 and a man, woman and teenage boy were subsequently detained.

A 40-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, both from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in offer to supply a Class B drug and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. They remain in police custody at this time.

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old boy from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit and possession of a controlled drug of Class B. He has since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

As well as the arrests, mobile phones, cash, a baton and suspected cannabis were seized. #ThreeDetained #RPU
