Two men arrested for Andover drugs and weapons offences following vehicle stop near North Waltham |

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs and weapons offences in Andover.
Yesterday morning (21 July) roads policing officers stopped a Volkswagen Golf on the A30 near North Waltham.
A search of the vehicle and occupants was conducted, and police seized more than £10,000 in cash, a lock knife, a baton, some cannabis and mobile phones.
Enquiries led officers to an address in Andover where further searches were conducted. Officers there seized knuckledusters, a sword, an asp, cash, cannabis and drugs paraphernalia.
The driver of the Golf – a 29-year-old man from Andover – was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of criminal property, possession of cannabis and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
The passenger – a 22-year-old man from Andover – was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of cannabis, and possession of criminal property.
Both men have been bailed with conditions until 21 October while further enquiries are conducted.
