Good Morning Resident
We had a great day yesterday at the West End Summer Fete. Well done to Antonia and the whole team at West End Parish.
We were joined by 2 Community Speedwatch volunteers and our stand was very busy all day, we engaged with a lot of the community and recruited some young PC’s and PCSO’s who loved dressing up and getting in the van!
Many people come over to talk to us about what is going on in the community and we were able to complete a lot of Let’s Talk surveys to make sure their policing priorities are registered for us and our bosses to see and focus on. We did have at least one person interested in joining our Community Speedwatch team SPEEDING IS ONE OF THE TOP PRIORITIES GIVEN BY RESIDENTS IN THE LET’S TALK SURVEY, BUT WE ARE VERY SHORT OF VOLUNTEERS TO KEEP THIS TEAM GOING. Fear not! Whilst the Neighbourhood Policing Team were committed with this community event (a core part of our role), all of the many other police teams were hard at work preventing and detecting crime. It was only myself committed all duty at this community event, the other neighbourhood officers took turns to rotate and join me.
