Two people arrested in connection with Botley burglary and theft from motor vehicle incidents

On Monday (7 July), we shared an investigation update with you all regarding reports of burglary, vehicle tampering and suspicious activity in the Botley area in the early hours of the morning that same day.
We can now further update you all that yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 9 July), officers arrested two people in connection with the incidents.
A 30-year-old man from Portsmouth was arrested on suspicion of non-dwelling burglary with intent to steal and theft from motor vehicle.
A 42-year-old woman from Portsmouth was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
Both remain in police custody at this time.
We’d like to take a moment to thank you for all your support and information since the incidents and our updates on Monday.
As we always say, we couldn’t do what we do without all of you. Your assistance is always hugely appreciated and helps us progress our investigations and make arrests.
Where possible, we’ll continue to keep you all updated on any further developments with this one as much as we can.
