Theft of motor vehicles - Hart North

Police would like to make residents aware of three incidents which have taken place overnight in our area.

Between the hours of 23:00 last night and 10:00 this morning, a white Ford Transit with the VRM BK64 JVO has been stolen from an address on Gale Close in Yateley. The vehicle was parked on the road at 23:00 and when the owner has returned to the vehicle this morning it was no longer present. The vehicle was stolen without a key.

Between the hours of 21:00 last night and 08:00 this morning, a black Honda NSS 122 moped with the VRM LD22 RXO has been stolen from an address on Beaulieu Gardens, Blackwater. The moped was stolen without a key.

Between the hours of 21:00 last night and 10:00 this morning, a red Yamaha TDM850 with the VRM Y82 HUG has been stolen from an address on Chamberlains Meadow, Heckfield.

Police would like to remind our community of the following motorbike and van related crime prevention advice:

Fit a tracking system as this can improve the chances of recovering your vehicle;

Lock motorbikes up using Secured by Design approved products, and cover your motorbike as this makes it harder for criminals to identify your bike;

Fit an alarm and immobiliser as a deterrent;

Install CCTV to monitor your property;

Don’t leave valuables on show inside vehicles;

Lock doors and close windows;

Keep keys inside a faraday box/bag to prevent the signal being cloned, and keep the keys away from the front door.
