Good afternoon Resident,

Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay in getting these stats out, I’ve been very busy.

Our fantastic Community Speedwatch Team have been working hard, carrying out many road side sessions so far this year. The team have had some challenges with the weather and a lack of leaders, meaning some months only have a few road sessions. But they are hoping with an improvement in the weather and now having 5 leaders, they can increase the number of sessions they are carrying out.

Going forward, I am hoping to be able to give a monthly, or bimonthly update on the CSW sessions. 

Whilst CSW is primarily an educational scheme, the data that is collected is then shared with our Neighbourhood police officers and the Roads Policing Unit, so that they know where to best allocate enforcement resources.

If you know of any roads that you think would benefit from CSW, please let us know by giving us the ‘what 3 words’ location on the road and the times of days that you believe this is a problem. We need both of these, in order to review a potential site for CSW sessions.

We need more volunteers to run long term and we‘d love to cover more roads, more often.
