Neighbourhood update

Hi Residents

We hope you are all enjoying the warm weather.

We have had a busy few weeks in the neighbourhood team.

Your PCSO’s have been attending the local schools. We love to do this, we get to know as many young people as we can. We encourage them to get to know us and they can always talk to us if they need to.

We have been dealing with Anti-Social behaviour reports that have been coming in. Theft from motor vehicles and a variety of other reports.

However it has upset us that yet again we have received reports about young people catapulting or throwing stones at our wildlife.😠

This behaviour is totally unacceptable. Also heart breaking!!

When we have been in the schools, part of our talks do include incidents like these. This is to make students aware, educate and encourage them to pass on any information.

The summer holidays will quickly be upon us and we DO NOT want this to continue!! As we have said before our parks are so beautiful, lovely surroundings, play areas for families and of course our lovely relaxing ponds with all our wildlife. It breaks our hearts that we are seeing these reports coming in.

These ducks and geese stay in the area because they feel safe. They raise their families here and it’s lovely for us all to see the babies growing up!

Please can we ask parents to speak to your children to make them aware. If your child has a catapult PLEASE can you educate them and make sure you know what they are doing with it!!

We take wildlife crimes seriously and will act on information we receive.

Deliberately and intentionally hurting any animal is appalling as we know you will agree. 😢

Past reports where these beautiful wildlife that have been injured is devastating and so, so pointless.

We know residents of Aldershot love being part of this community and we do not want this sort of behaviour in this area. If you have any information please do report this straight to us through 101 or 999 if needed. You can also report via our website Home | Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary

PCSO Kath was out in the local parks yesterday speaking to residents. We will continue to patrol to try and prevent these crimes from happening.

PCSO Kath and Durga are on late shift tonight and tomorrow so they will be hitting our ASB Hotspot areas this will include our parks.

Where would you like us to patrol? Do you have any issues that you would like to bring to our attention?

Take care

Aldershot NPT
