The car was followed and was seen travelling at speed in the Brighton Hill area before it came to stop on Coates Close.

Due to suspicious circumstances at the scene, a search was carried out and £930 in cash was located.

Officers then carried out a search of an address and located a number of items, including suspected Class A drugs, £3,080 in cash, and drug paraphernalia. All items were seized.

A 27-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
