Man charged with breaching partial closure order in Basingstoke


A man has been charged with breaching a partial closure order in Basingstoke.

In March, officers from Basingstoke’s Priority Crime Team secured a partial closure order following reports of anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity at a property on Baynard Close.

When the order was granted, no-one other than those authorised was allowed to enter or remain at the address for the next three months.

Officers carried out a check yesterday (22 May) and a man was arrested.

Jamie Marks, 41, of Attwood Close, Basingstoke, has been charged with remaining on / entering a premises in contravention of a closure notice.

He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (23 May).
