Op Sceptre - surrender your knives

Do you or someone you know have a collection of knives, swords or weapons? Maybe you have one somewhere in your home that might have been gifted to you and you’ve forgotten about it. It could be on the offensive weapons banned list and you could be breaking the law.

If you live in the Eastleigh area and are unable to get to one of our knife surrender bins placed at several of our police stations, we’ve made a form available for you to fill out and one of our officers will come and collect it from you. This is part of the national week of action known as Operation Sceptre to tackle knife crime.

It's important you check the list and dispose of them by letting us know through the form or by using one of the local knife surrender bins. This is your opportunity to do the right thing and check the list before it’s too late.

If you or someone you know has any information involving knife crime you should report it to us on 101. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Always call 999 in an emergency.

You can find out more about knife crime and our surrender bins here.
