Man, 32, arrested after officers find drugs in Aldershot


A man has been arrested after officers found suspected Class A drugs and more than £500 in cash following a proactive stop in Aldershot.

Officers from the Hart and Rushmoor Priority Crime Team were patrolling the town when they noticed suspected drug-related activity linked to a Fiat 500 at around 6.30pm on Friday 16 May.

The vehicle stopped on Holly Road and due to the suspicious circumstances, a search was carried out.

Following the search, officers found 11 bags of suspected Class A drugs and £540 in cash.

A 32-year-old man from Farnborough was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A. He has been bailed, pending further enquiries.
