Dear Residents,

We hope you are all enjoying the weekend, even if the temperature has dropped slightly!!

We are in the process of launching our ‘Summer Crime Crunch’ campaign.

As you know through the seasons we here in the Neighbourhood Policing Team concentrate on targeting hotspot areas, completing community events and gear our patrols and events to the current crime trends.

This summer we will be visiting as many schools as possible to speak to the students before they break for the summer holidays. The PCSO’s like to meet as many pupils as possible so they all get to know us and know they can come and talk to us if they see us out and about.

We are arranging crime prevention stalls and hopefully will be conducting scam prevention talks.

We also like to get your take on what you would like us to focus on. We look at the reports coming in and target our patrols to reflect what issues are being reported. However if you feel there is something brewing that needs attention please do let us know.

PCSO Elaine has been doing a fantastic job concentrating on our issues in the parks especially when it comes to reports of people catapulting our ducks!!! We know you agree that this is totally unacceptable so please do pass on any information if you see this happening!!

PCSO Durga has been concentrating on Bike Registrations, we have signed up quite a few people now so don't be surprised if we flagged you down and get you signed up if we see you out cycling.

PCSO Kath has been organising getting into the schools, talking about Knife Crime, Keeping safe and County Lines. Also getting in to groups and providing information about scams.

Alongside this we will be arranging, Stop and chats in the parks, CopsNCoffee and crime prevention stalls in busy locations. Our mascot Delta will also be joining us!!

Our wonderful Local Bobbies have been busy investigating crimes. They have had great results with multiple arrests which include shoplifting. They are out in our Town Centre talking to the businesses and being a visible presence.

We will keep you posted of our activities, but please do let us know if you have any suggestions of what you would like your NPT to focus on.
