A man has been charged with a number of offences following an incident in Baughurst. We were called at 4.12pm on Saturday 1 February to a report that a man and woman had been threatened on Woodlands Road. It was reported that a man had banged on a door at an address on Woodlands Road, made threats and claimed he had a knife. Officers attended the scene and a man resisted arrest. Two officers were assaulted. A knife was seized and a man was arrested at the scene. Philip Harris, 39, of Woodlands Road, Baughurst, has since been charged with: - Threat to damage / destroy property - Using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour x 3 - Assault by beating of an emergency worker x 2 - Possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place Harris has been bailed with conditions and is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday 20 May. | ||||
