A teenage boy from Hedge End and a man from Southampton have this afternoon (Thursday 1 May) appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court to face charges in connection with a serious assault at an address on Alder Avenue on Tuesday (29 April).

The 15-year-old boy, who has been charged with attempt murder, was further remanded to next appear at Southampton Crown Court on Thursday 15 May. He cannot be named for legal reasons.

Dylan Peat, 21, of Hyde Close, who has been charged with assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm, has been bailed with conditions.
