A man has been charged with the rape of a 15-year-old girl in Basingstoke.
Terrell Taylor-Swhyer, 21, of Taverner Close, Basingstoke, has been charged with the rape of a girl, following an investigation by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary’s Child Abuse Investigation Team.
The charge relates to a report that the girl was raped in Basingstoke on Monday 24 February this year. An investigation began after the incident was reported to us on Thursday 3 April.
Taylor-Swhyer has also been charged with three counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker. These charges relate to an incident in Basingstoke on Friday 11 April.
He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Friday 25 April) where he was remanded in custody. He is next due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 28 May.
