A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Havant.

Officers were called at 9.42am on Thursday 17 April to a report that a man was walking alone along the M40, close to junction 3.

We then searched an address on Timsbury Crescent, Havant, and located the body of a woman in her 40s.

Officers launched an investigation and Norbert Maiksner, 48, of Timsbury Crescent, Havant, has been charged with murder.

He is due to appear at East Hampshire Remand Court in Portsmouth tomorrow (Monday 21 April).
