We are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of a collision involving an e-scooter and a five-year-old girl in Winchester. Officers were called to the collision, which took place on a footpath between Alresford Road and Winnall Manor Road, at 1.38pm today (19 April). The girl was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries to her head and eye. At this time, her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The rider did stop at the scene, however details were not exchanged. Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries and are now appealing for witnesses. Were you in the area at the time? Did you witness the incident or an e-scooter being ridden in the area? Do you have any footage which could assist with our investigation? If you have any information, or if you were riding the e-scooter, please get in touch with us. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting 44250170215.
