We’re appealing for witnesses to a suspicious incident which happened in the Stanmore area of Winchester.
Between 7.25am and 7.30am yesterday (Tuesday 25 February), it’s reported that a woman was followed by a man as she walked in the Cromwell Road and Airlie Corner area.
The man was taking photos of her, and followed her closely in the direction of the alleyway that runs parallel to the train track.
A male member of the public spotted this and challenged the man, before the man ran off.
Were you the member of the public who stopped to help? Please get in touch with us to tell us what you saw.
We are also keen to hear from anyone else who has information that may assist our enquiries, or who has experienced similar behaviour in the Airlie Corner and Cromwell Road areas.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44250084991. You can also submit information to us online here: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
