A man has appeared in court after he was charged with drug offences and assaulting police officers following an incident in Aldershot. Plain-clothed officers spotted suspicious drug-related activity on Queens Road at around 12pm on Thursday 12 December. A man was searched and officers located a locking knife and more than 100 wraps of suspected Class A drugs. A man was arrested and two officers were assaulted. Tyrese Williams, 25, of Brighton Terrace, London, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A and possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place. He was also charged with two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker. Williams appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Friday 13 December and was remanded into custody. He is next due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 15 January. | ||||
