A man has been arrested on suspicion of a drugs offence in Basingstoke.

We received reports of drug-related activity at an address on Popley Way in the early hours of this morning (4 September).

Officers attended the scene and found suspected Class A and Class B drugs, as well as more than £1,400 in cash.

A 19-year-old man, of no fixed abode, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

He remains in custody while our enquiries continue.
