This weekend more bicycles have been stolen from campsites across the New Forest.

All of them were locked up and in some cases secured to the back of vehicles but the locks used are often flimsy and only take moments to cut.

Please help us by making your bicycles harder to steal – keep it inside, never leave it unattended, remove a wheel or the saddle or both. These days with quick release wheels and saddles it’s easy to do and it will make your bike less attractive to thieves.

We patrol the campsites regularly but can’t be everywhere all the time so please let as many people know, especially if they are coming to Forest.
