Man, 37, arrested following reports of public order incident in Farnborough


Officers investigating reports of a public order incident in Farnborough town centre have arrested a man.

We were called at 3.48pm on Sunday 9 June to reports of an altercation involving a group of men and women in the Sainsbury’s car park on Queensmead.

It was reported that some of the group were fighting. We attended the scene and three officers were assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

The group fled the scene and no other injuries were reported.

Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries and have now arrested a man.

A 37-year-old man from Odiham has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. He has been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries.

Please be assured that officers are continuing to investigate this incident and enquiries remain ongoing.
