Man arrested following a report of burglary in Romsey


Officers arrested a man on suspicion of burglary following an incident in Romsey.

We were called at 2.53pm on Monday 27 May to a report of a burglary in progress at an address in Botley Road, Romsey.

It was reported that people were seen on the property and that a tyre had been removed from a vehicle that was parked in the drive.

Officers attended and found that the garage at the address had been broken into.

A 33-year-old man from Romsey has been arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.

He is currently in police custody while officers carry out further enquiries.
