Man charged following assault investigation in Andover


A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident on a residential road in Andover.

We were called by ambulance colleagues at 7.24pm on Tuesday 30 April to a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Picket Twenty Way.

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.

Officers stopped a vehicle in Weyhill Road shortly after this incident and a man was arrested.

Jonathen Cutts, 38, of Stanbury Road, Thruxton, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, failing to stop and driving a motor vehicle dangerously.

He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 2 May) and was remanded to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 5 June.
