Police update on the death of a swan in Netley Abbey


Good afternoon everyone,

 

We just wanted to update you around what we’re doing in relation to a swan that was killed in the Netley Abbey area last week, as we know from speaking to you that many of you are extremely concerned about this incident.

 

In case you aren’t already aware, we were called at 10.25am on Thursday 25 April to a report that a swan had been killed on Victoria Road. It is believed that the incident took place prior to 4pm on Tuesday 23 April.

 

We wanted to reassure you that our CountryWatch team have been reviewing this report and carrying out enquiries in order to determine the circumstances and identify those responsible. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has called in with information so far – we are following all reports up.
