Drugs supply arrest made in Andover

Good morning everyone,

We just wanted to let you know about an arrest we made in Andover yesterday as part of our efforts to disrupt Class A drug supply.

Just before 7pm yesterday (Tuesday 20 February), officers patrolling in Andover town centre stopped a man in London Street.

He was searched and officers found a quantity of suspected class A drugs, as well as money and mobile phones.

The 35-year-old man from Andover was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a drug of Class A. He is currently in police custody while we carry out further enquiries.

Drug-related harm is a priority for us in Test Valley.

The support we receive from local people is vital in helping us make our communities safer and every bit of information we receive is greatly appreciated.

Anyone with information about drug-related activity is asked to call us on 101 or via our online reporting portal - https://www.hampshire.police.uk/ro/report/ocr/af/how-to-report-a-crime/

ENDS
